Jobs at TCM

 

TCM are committed to training apprentices in the disiplines of HVAC Plumbing, Refrigeration, Air Conditioning and Electrical Technicians and directly employ all tradespeople. We offer regular work experience opportunities to local schools and colleges which often result in trainee placements.

 

TCM identifies the need for further staff training opportunities as the air conditioning industry evolves. TCM keeps ahead by referencing current trade magazines and industry forums.

Director – TODD BOOTH

 

Prior to joining TCM in 2000 Todd had been studying Computer Programming, Database Management and Information Systems at the University of Tasmania. Todd also worked for a time with Service Tasmania being primarily involved in computer and internet applications and customer relations.

Since joining TCM Todd has been involved in the Project Management for contract works. Engineering, producing maintenance manuals, Autocad drawings and is responsible for Occupational Health and Safety and Internal Management policies.

In 2004 Todd took over the role of Operations Manager, overseeing all business and staff activities, and in 2010 Todd undertook and successfully completed the industry nationally recognized AMCA – Managing for Profit study course, which enhanced the project management of TCM’s most successful project, the CSIRO mechanical services upgrade, involving the replacement of the existing air conditioning plant utilizing the temperature of the Derwent River to maintain stable temperatures in the offices, libraries and laboratories of the facility.

Director – CHRIS WRIGHT

 

Chris commenced in the air conditioning industry in 1974 with a local contractor as a cadet engineer. After six years Chris moved in to the consulting field. Chris joined TCM in 1982 as a mechanical services project manager. Chris is active involvement in estimating, engineering, commissioning, balancing, general project administration and supervision plus sales and marketing of equipment for which TCM is the Tasmanian distributor.
